Tuning
What's
resume tuning?
Think of it this way. Webster's Dictionary
says:
"tun.ing" -verb:
Adjusting.for.the.Maximum.Response
Our resume tuning approach has evolved
over 10 years of presenting resumes to hiring managers.
We've seen what works, what doesn't and listened to hiring
managers' needs and concerns. Our approach focuses on
two components:
1) organization
- hiring managers need to quickly spot the talented candidate.
No digging for the critical information
2) wordsmithing . -. a finely honed presentation:
it's not just what you say ... it's how you say it. The
language should flow, inspire confidence, articulate achievements.
Simply listing skills and responsibilities has no marketing
punch - you need to include real deliverables to get noticed.
Today's hiring managers want to see candidates
that will make them look good. Building that level of
confidence starts with the resume. <top>
Why
not just have a friend proofread it?
For proofreading ok, assuming your friend
understands that it's UNIX not Unix and that it's Linux not
Linus. Oh, and that they can also hone in on the key points
of the professional summary or the techniques for increasing
your hit-ratio on database searches. Friends are great for
moral support, but do you want to entrust your professional
presentation for your next job on this hit-or-miss option?
TunaRez knows IT resumes and how to get the most from them
-- delivering consistent, rapid results for our clients.

I’m
worried that I’ll have a “cookie cutter” resume.
Let's face it, there are only a handful
of standard resume formats. The critical question: what is
the content and approach within that format that grabs the
reader, does not waste their time, creates a individual distinction
that produces rapid results? Just as critical: is it prepared
by someone who understands IT and knows how to hit the mark
with IT hiring managers? TunaRez receives feedback everyday
that tells us our original, knowledgeable approach does just
that. <top>
Do
I have to spend time on the phone with you?
In a word, NO. Most of our communication
is handled easily by email, unless you choose to talk directly
with an editor (our "One-on-One" Service) or Customer Care.
Our process is direct and streamlined: we work entirely with
your current resume; if any key components are missing, you
simply provide the info by email. We then deliver a completely
integrated and polished resume, which is ready to send out
immediately (any necessary revisions are free). But if you
ever want to talk to us, we're here at 1-800-TUNAREZ and sometimes
we do crave outside contact. <top>
How
long will it take to get my resume back?
Depending on volume, we can usually
deliver resumes to you in about 5 business days. Rush options
are available. Of course, there's an additional charge for
this express service But it may be worth it if a job opportunity
is waiting. We do understand how anxious you are to get your
completed resume and are dedicated to meeting your deadline.
You can always check in with Customer Care to review status
or to let us know if a job opening has appeared and you need
rush assistance. <top>
